Anyone else noticing a lot of persistent images in their 8.4 nav screen? Mine is pretty much never on the default screen for navigation or anything else - I invariably put the map on full screen. So I'd expect to see things from that burned in, not the nav home screen with "Home" and "Work" and such on it.

But when I had the dark area from the shadow backing up, my son said, "Look at that!" The photo doesn't do it justice, it's a LOT clearer by eye than it is via photo...

I think this is more than likely a software render issue rather than hardware burn in. LCD burn in requires at least tens of hours staying on the same output.

Maybe you can try to reset your uConnect.

LCDs don't have actual burn-in. OLEDs and Plasma do. That looks like a rendering problem as plex mentioned.

Do you see the images when you turn the screen off (power still on but push the "Screen Off" button)? Doing that leaves the screen on but goes to all black.

People reported suspected burn-ins for one of the OTA updates over the summer, it went away. A software refresh could fix it.

I have a half dozen things I have to take it in for anyway, I'll add this to the list for them to check out. Thanks all.
