Well, sucks that it's not on the Grand Cherokee yet. I ended up trading my 4xe Wrangler recently, but we are hanging on to my wife's 4xe GC. But, glad that they are finally ready to start the testing. Again.

Also encouraging that they are being proactive and telling dealers to give everyone a loaner. Last recall on my Wrangler I had to push pretty hard to get the dealer to commit to a loaner, and I think that is only because I also had a warranty-covered issue that needed to be fixed at the same time

Thanks for posting this. I just called my dealer—they confirmed they have the update available and scheduled an appointment. She also offered a loaner if needed.

She explained they’ll run a diagnostic test first. If everything comes back clean, no further action is needed at this time. If an issue is detected, they’ll need to order a part or module and install it, along with any additional software updates.

She couldn’t say exactly how long the full process would take, but recommended planning to drop the vehicle off for the day.

The only part that will be physically replaced is the battery, so if they tell you they're ordering something that's what it is

They may or may not perform a software update on other modules like the charging modules and battery and hybrid controllers, but those are just software flashes

That could be what she was referring to. I just had my battery replaced last month as the 2nd part of the 95B recall.

Of course it was replaced with the previous battery. Not sure if they have a new updated battery ready for replacement??

Can confirm 68C recall is now available for JLs. Recall is almost identical to the 95B, though it seems the test drive part isn't always required anymore depending on what wi-tech spits out during the analysis.

Three fire recalls deep and we're still doing software updates.

On a side note, we've had so many module updates for the BPCM we've officially rolled over from AA-AZ nik levels over to BA. Very impressive.

I have jscan with odb connector and security bypass cables. How can I prep the jeep so they can plug in and do the update?

This is my understanding as well. I had my modules updated/flashed a couple of weeks ago. Seems like the only action with this recall is a new testing procedure that they’ll run to determine if your battery needs replacement.

I just dropped my '24 RubiX 4XE this morning at the dealership for a failed Electric Coolant Heater (I miss the instant electric heat and runs the engine all the time like a regular ICE Jeep) and I also asked them to do this new 68C procedure. I'll post my results when they're done with the updates or whatever.

My dealer just told me the fix has been RECALLED and his system told him they were no longer allowed to perform them.
We’re at the stage of recalling the recall that was deployed because the first 3 recalls didn’t work.

Forget making vehicles, Stellantis should go into the business of recall engineering.

Here in my area the recall seems to be still performed. When I called my dealer just now (Noon, Dec 17th, East Coast) they were not aware of a stop of the 68C recall service and would have given me an appointment. I however declined as I won't do the recall before mid January as i will be traveling overseas. (and I don't want to be the recall beta tester).
