Hey guys. Don’t know if this is right place or not. But I’m new and this is first post. I bought a manual 6 speed 2018 JLU about 6 months ago. It had 48k miles on it, and everything ran great. Started to notice, it felt like I was losing power , and shifting from 1st to 2nd you could feel a clunk, also from 2nd to 3rd. Had the recall done for the clutch, and have been having the same issues. All in all, it just doesn’t feel as peppy as it did before, and when getting up to about 3k rpms it’s almost like you can hear a vibration like a fan humming . Not sure what’s causing any of it, but any insight would be appreciated.

I got the recall down on my ‘19MT about 2 months ago and I would not have been able to tell the difference between the before and the after. As far as I can tell, it runs exactly the same.

I don’t think your issues are related to the recall. Just my 2 cents.

Yeah I’m not sure it has to do with that either. Because it started before I had the clutch replaced. But it definitely feels like maybe something with the transmission.. 🤔

ok, after re-reading your post....have you gotten under it on flat ground and given your drive shafts a good shake? And are you comfortable cracking open your diffs and giving a change of fluid? I had an F-150 with similar issues, and it was a binding rear driveshaft. During shifting it would clunk, and at certain rpm it would bind and there was a noticeable "feel". At low speeds, in first gear when it would unbind during a 1-2 shift it would feel like you just got rear ended. I'd get under your Jeep and make sure nothing in the drive line is loose, it's all well greased, and if you can, crack the diffs open and check on your ring and pinion gears...just make sure there are no chunks...if there's no issue, you just got an oil change on your diffs, and that won't do any harm. If you have chunks, you might be saving yourself some money on a rear end. At least, that's where I'd start.

That all sounds like good ideas. Thank you for taking the time to reply and for the advice.

Sorry, I Also forgot to mention that I’m also having an issue, where in 3rd gear, and accelerating up to 3k rpms .it feels like it has a slight miss, or hesitation. But I’ve already changed the spark plugs , and having the same issue. Didn’t know how to edit the original post as I’m new to using these threads. So please forgive me ahead of time.

You probably just need to take it someplace and have it looked at. Do you have a reputable shop in your area?

if you have a warranty you might want to try the dealer 1st
