6 Speed Delays?

I have been hearing rumblings of delays related to the manual... anyone heard anything more concrete on this? I am not overly concerned as I just ordered a week ago and am not in a rush, but I started having flashbacks to ordering a Diesel Grand Cherokee in August of 2016. It was delayed over and over (which I cancelled) and they eventually never even shipped.

Doesn’t seem to be consistent really. Some claim a delay, some get to KZ. I’m a manual order, and went KZ a couple days ago

I ordered a Manual Rubicon on 02/05. I did the online chat with Jeep and they confirmed a delay because of a shortage in Soft Tops. Mine is delayed for that reason. She didn't say anything about the manual. Said mine was built and waiting on the top. Hope that helps a little

I was at dealer Saturday (3/3) to order manual sahara.
They were unable to place order for manual in system.
Waiting for update today from dealer.

as it seems to be an unknown at this point, but due to some new evidence (like some people not being to place an order for one like @springglen) perhaps we should keep this thread alive to track what is going on for those of us that are hoping to get a manual sometime soon.

Hoping that this is a short delay, with minimal upset, and full transparency......

Checked just now and the JEEP rep said she is not aware of any manual trans delays. But did say that its possible there delayed and she just hasn't received any info yet. So who knows !!

Yeah, it would be really nice. I am not sure I quite understand the lack of communication, but there really isn't much we can do at this point. The truly frustrating thing is that the reps you talk to through Chat give inconsistent data. Do not get me wrong I have always found them pleasant when I have chatted, but when you get a different answer based on who you talk to... it is a little disheartening.

I do not think there is a 6 speed delay CURRENTLY. My order was built yesterday with a 6 speed.

I was able to place order today for the Manual Sahara. Not sure what deal was last weekend in system, but it's fixed now.
