Zero issues? Everyone you know that has one wasn’t allowed to charge it or park it in their garage during Dec and January.
Parked in the garage... charged it... no issues and I passed the recall. Your point is? Only the whiny people complained because of their lack of comprehension of the issue.

Why a 4xe as a weekend car? It has short electric range and a troubled recall history. If you used it for a short regular commute it “might” make sense but even then??

As unlikely as it would have been, had yours caught fire while charging in the garage during the recall, you would have been on the hook for 100% of the vehicle and home damages. It’s not about being whiny or comprehension, it’s about owning a POS vehicle that has you by the legal liability balls with its recall mandates.

Ok, so what I'm hearing is dodge the 4xe and stick with the gas powertrains despite the good deals on 4xe?? I really love the concept of it and hope Jeep figures this out. May just stick with the V6 for now and hopefully some E type model is out in a few years.

1.) Horses for courses.
2.) Things are worth what they’re worth.

If the 4xe suits your needs, and if it’s a screaming deal, then get it. At a minimum, run the numbers on a lease. You can always give it back at the end of the lease.

If it does not suit your needs, then don’t get it.

No need to get all religious about it.

Like I said, I have the most 4xe-ish JLU out there, with fully all the whizz-bang electric factory doodads. I also have the most manual JL out there. I like ‘em both.

Religious?? I'm just using a thread to gather some information.

Thanks all for the feedback, whatever has the best options, set up, color, tires, gets my money. I will roll the dice if it's a 4xe.

Having been a Personal Injury trial attorney for over 40 years, I respectfully suggest your opinions are nonsensical and without merit. In other words, you have no idea what you are talking about and no need to comment because you bore me and I haven't the time, inclination, or crayons to try to explain it to you.

“…religious”

I’m not saying you are. I’m just saying a whole lot of people usually get all zealous for/against EVs.

At the end of the day, it’s just a basket of technologies, pretty well implemented here and yet also having some bugs.

And, again, I actually own both types.

Thanks for the feedback! For me it's more about going to the 35 tires. Having had them for the last 5 yrs, I can't go back to the stock, mainly just for the look.

More curious on how the 4xe handles those tires since Jeep did not offer that package from factory, I was assuming it would take the measly 20 electric miles down to 10 and really make the MPG more of a wash compared to gas engine. Also assuming they set up the gearing, shocks, spacers/lift in an ideal setup from the factory.

Sure, I can put the 35s on the 4xe, but it may not have the best set up for them like gearing, suspension, clearing space, etc.

I did my own lift/tires on my 2018 Sahara and didn't change any gearing and have noticed it struggles to get to 8th gear...not sure if that's a big deal or not, but going to try and do it the right way this time.

Haha! It’s the “Mopar gate support prevents your hinges from sagging guy!” I thought you looked familiar. If I had a dollar every time you attempt your “crayon” dig here on the forum, I could buy another POS 4xe. I get it, you sank your retirement into what you thought was the “best” Wrangler option and are in denial that it is worthless now. Don’t let me stop you though, 2.5 years of mall crawling Jeep experience make you an extreme subject matter expert.
