I realize Im reviving an old thread.

Does anyone know if the rear seat in 4xe can be removed through the rear side doors?

Reason Im asking is I have a Diabolical Slipstream installed and have just gotten hit with the HV Battery replacement issue. I also have multiple amps installed on the Slipstream wall and removal of equipment will be a major pain if the seat and battery have to come out the rear of the vehicle.

Anyone with experience removing the rear seat, please let me know your thoughts.

Thanks in advance!

Certainly you can, and should remove the seat through the side doors. The same goes for the battery. A hoist is positioned in a side door and it's lifted out.

All that being said, YMMV when encountering techs who want you to remove anything non-factory before they work on your vehicle.

Thanks - as you suspected they do want it removed. He said they typically slide the rear seat to the back cargo area but could remove through the doors. Battery is forklifted out the side door.

They technically CAN do it without removal but PREFER stock setup in case of any hiccups.
