Transmission in neutral, shifting transfer case from N to 4L I get a slight but noticeable grinding before it goes into 4L. Is that something to be concerned about?

I suggest trying this: in neutral, while slightly rolling forward, between 1-5 mph shift into 4H and follow right on through into 4 Lo. This method has been 100% smooth transition for me. No clunking or grinding.
