My Jeep 3rd Brake Light (CHMSL) is not working and I am looking for some help. It worked in its original form. I used a small 4x4 shop to mount the new rims/tires and part of the tire mounting included removing the CHMSL to allow the larger tires to fit the spare tire mount. When it was picked-up, the bracket for the CHMSL was unbolted from the tailgate, sitting in the rear cargo area with the wires cut.
I bolted the CHMSL back onto the spare tire mount in a modified fashion to extend above the spare tire and made-up new DT connectors to reconnect the wires (WHT/GN and BLK). The light does not work.
At this point I am uncertain if there is a GND problem or an output power problem at the ECM (controller). I will make up a long jumper to get me back to battery GND and check this all the way back to the battery to make sure it is not a different harness/GND connection along the way to the CHMSL.
Before I go break-out the parts cannon or give-up and take it in, are there other things or quircky things about the CHMSL?
Can anyone please advise on where connector XY480A is located?

- Checking for a ground connection between the BLK on the CHMSL and the RH tail light, I see no continuity
- Checking for voltage when the brake pedal is pushed down I do not see voltage with the engine OFF or RUNNING, measuring between the two wires at the CHMSL
