Nice, then you're able to print a ton of great filament. That last pic you posted. That bracket actually mounts between the mirror and door. The bracket is split in order to slide the control wiring through for the mirror through the bracket. However, that gap would be best filled with whatever type silicone to limit or eliminate any moisture from getting inside the door. Just pointing that one detail out, not deterring you from this project. Only other detail I see, home made gasket for the area between the bracket and door. I'm gonna finish a design I'm doing and post it here for you to check out. Easy print, one bolt, wraps around the arm of the mirror, and easily installed and removed. BTW, nice printer. I hope you find tons of great projects with it.
Awesome thanks excited

Awesome thank you
It's all good. We're part of this Jeep family. I will do my best to have it all done by the end of the weekend. But so far, the design I'm real comfortable with is a wrap around design on the arm of the mirror. One bolt to complete the mount AND attach the duck pad in a location that won't interfere with the mirror. So it can be mounted and left there forever. All printed in PETG. With your printer and software, you can make great use of the MMU setup and print it in whatever color combination you choose. Have a good weekend. I'm headed back out to the JLU, and that never ending list of things to get installed. lol

Have no fear, I'm still on this. Had a bit of a setback with my 3d scanner. I even tried scanning up close, and backing off. It just isn't scanning the plastic mirror housing against the metal door in the background. Still haven't heard from them on what's going on with it. So, right now, it's a caliper and taking measurements old school and hand design in CAD. But I do have a design. No removal of anything. Slips over the base of the mirror and connects the whole works via a single M4X30 screw.

Just packaged up my scanner as it is a replacement under warranty. I'll take it tomorrow to UPS to send back, and wait for the new one to arrive. Customer service had me jumping through hoops, trying a bunch of different things. And in the end, it was exactly what I thought it would be. A faulty or failed sensor. Sorry, but I'm still trying to get this done. Cause now I want one too... lol

Still waiting on the replacement scanner. Old one was already returned. But stuff coming from China just seems to take forever. I'll be back on this once it gets here. Sorry for the delay...

I have next to zero 3D design skills but I did make a set of armrests for my soft doors. Simple 2 piece design with 3/8 bolts to slide into the mounts where the upper door halves go. Foam padding on top.

Has anyone ever seen a STL file for the JL quarter window retainer insert? Mopar number 68430118AA? I wish I knew CAD.

Hey! New to the 3D printing community. Anyone know where to find the famous JL grill inserts to help with FORM for 4Xe's?
