Did you take off the 392 badges ? Replacing them with 122 or 219 would look stupid. Did you remove the RUBICON emblems? Or is it a Rubi?About to throw this baby on. Filled in the holes for the bumpers. Never like the cheap plastic things.
"122" would be hilarious.Did you take off the 392 badges ? Replacing them with 122 or 219 would look stupid. Did you remove the RUBICON emblems? Or is it a Rubi?
Seriously, it should look good, did you get the rest of the system to make it a functional water diverting CAI ?
My understanding is the 392 hood is heavy as hell by comparison to the Sport hoods. I know for a fact from the ones that I've seen that they have a lot of extra stuff on them. If you haven't already, I'd remove all the crap you don't need. Might help you with a little bit of the weight reduction of those heavy ass hoods.About to throw this baby on. A magnet sticks (21), the hydro glide is plastic and couldn’t weigh much. If the other parts to make it a functional CAI can’t be used this weight weenie wouldn’t do it just for looks….My understanding is the 392 hood is heavy as hell by comparison to the Sport hoods. Cheap plastic things? Are the new 2024 hoods made of plastic now? My Willys Sport has a aluminum hood. Pretty sure most of our hoods are aluminum. Is the 392 hood steel? Or is it also aluminum?
You have to first sacrifice a rubber duck to @Tredsdert.I'd love to show some pics but it won't let me upload. Is it a pay thing?
Well that right there is reason for me to get a 392 hood someday. I like the aluminum hood and all, it's lightweight and it's pretty simple to deal with, but I sure do like the idea of sticking magnets on the Jeep without having to drill holes and stick hood rounds on there...A magnet sticks (21), the hydro glide is plastic and couldn’t weigh much. I accept all forms of dead duck credit:You have to first sacrifice a rubber duck to @Tredsdert.

Wrong reason- removing the hydro glide clearing the hood bubble would allow clearance for a proper mod. Instead of pissing money away on ever changing little crap save it for one excellent mod, and be thankful you live where you can make it run ! Y'all remember these guys!?

I'll get them back on there one of these days, maybe after I purchase my next hood.
I spent so little time bondo'ing the hood, and screwing up the hood with even bigger holes each time I played with the steel rounds, I don't really want to undo the bondo at this point. I'll just be left with a gaping hole this time.![]()
It'll be way more trouble than it's worth!

Funny you say that, I told the wife the other day that the only thing I regret about the Wrangler is wasting so much money on stupid little shit things that I don't even have in my Jeep anymore. If I had saved all that money and just bought one or two nice things that I would still have on there, would have been much better. I don't regret that, I mean you got to learn less than somehow, but I do wish I had learned that lesson sooner, maybe before I got my Wrangler would have been ideal.Wrong reason- removing the hydro glide clearing the hood bubble would allow clearance for a proper mod.
