My Jeep arrived today. Picking up tomorrow. Dealer was getting paperwork all ready and just called to let me know he’s sorry but can’t do the tread lightly discount. For anyone that did get it, where you still getting 8% total off?

Criswell? when going through my build, I was given an updated price and notified that they could not honor affiliate pricing at this time (week ago).

No it’s not criswell. I did get a build sheet from them but a local dealership matched their price. Ordered 7/17. Never said anything about not giving me the tread lightly until today after my jeep arrived and they started getting the paperwork prepared. I’m still getting 7% off invoice. I’m just curious if anyone actually got the full 8% since this all surfaced

I did but I was one of the first 2020 arrivals. The dealership said the control number was coming back invalid. They called FCA and FCA confirmed that the number was valid and that AP applied to the 2020. The following Monday I received a call that my AP did not end up going through and that we needed to talk/they needed to talk to FCA again. I'm not sure what happened between the dealership and FCA but today they finally said not to worry about it and that we were squared up. Idk if FCA reimbursed them or if they got stuck eating the cost.

If they ate it, that was a stand up move on their part. I would have been willing to give the 1% back as it was neither of our faults.

Awesome. Thank you. I’m still very happy with the 7% off I’m getting. But I have seen a few recent posts saying tread lightly was honored but I’m assuming they weren’t already getting 7% and the dealership was able to budge on price. Being that I’m at 7% already my dealer won’t budge at all. Ha. Not a deal breaker at all. Just unfortunate.

I just checked the FCA Rewards website and it shows that my control number was not used yet. Not sure how quickly the site updates but it looks like the dealership ate the cost.

I hope that isn't the case and that somehow they got reimbursed/or will be able to submit the control number retroactively.

7% off is still a great deal. 99% of dealerships won't go that low. The extra 1% only takes off an additional $300-550. Not a huge deal.

Yes I agree it is a great deal. When I got the build from criswell I shopped it around to my 3 local dealerships. 2 out of the 3 wouldn’t touch that price at all. So I’m still very satisfied getting the 7% from the one. The tread lightly would of been another 490 bucks for me. Oh well.

I mean, its all relative

300-550, If it was 550, another 300 bucks could have gotten another optional upgrade.

FCA is a publicly traded company worth approximately 100 billion dollars. They obviously screwed over their dealers by not informing them of the change or gap in the affiliate program. They let them continue, business as usual, and have now pulled the rug out from under them. They have said to all the consumers/dealers caught up in the confusion, that they cannot afford the 500 dollars, because their shareholders mean more to them than their integrity.

Now, the dealer is forced with a decision to eat the 1% and honor the previously quoted price, or just let the s**t roll down the hill to you and me who trusted FCA and the dealer in this process. I don’t know what my dealer is going to do. I hope this straightens out before my Jeep gets here. Maybe then I won’t have to taste the s**t they’re rolling down the hill, but no matter what, I can still smell it.

I was set to order my Rubicon from Criswell on Monday and found out about the 1% discount no longer being available. I reached out to Affiliate Rewards and below is the response I received

"I appreciate your question. Yes, a new, (meaning not previously titled) Jeep Wranglers are part of our eligible vehicles with our program. The dealership may be hesitant as Program ID numbers have not yet been published. These are codes the dealership needs to complete their paperwork. We are being advised that those codes are to be released by 9/4/2019. I apologize for this hold-up."

This is great news. I wonder if dealers that previously honored the affiliate pricing will be able to apply to FCA to get reimbursed for the difference.

How did you contact Affiliate rewards? Is this an internal FCA number, or one you could share with us? Just hoping to have info to give to the dealer in case my Jeep gets in before 9/4.

So let’s assume I have a local dealer that will do 5 or 6% off invoice. Does the tread lightly discount come off in addition? Is this essentially a rebate from FCA? Meaning, should I drive my best deal possible, them pull out the tread light discount?
