Hey All,
I was wondering if anyone has ever experienced freezing and overheating on the 7 inch touchscreen on the wranglers. I have some videos I made to show the issue. The dealership has not been much help. It happens mostly when my phone is connected and Carplay is on. The touchscreen gets hot to touch and then jitters. It begins to ghost touch and become unresponsive to touch. The entire infotainment system will freeze and even after unplugging my phone nothing will work. The dealership is saying its pocket lint in my phone however I have tried with other phones (a brand new iphone 3 days out of the box and an Android phone) and they all freeze.
I have been able to solve the freezing issue temporarily on a trip by pulling over and pulling fuses F102 and F97. These are the USB ports and radio fuses.
Possibly related but some days the change song rocker behind the steering wheel will not work.
