2018 JL Gobi Rack Install Problem

I'm installing the front support brackets that go behind the driver and passenger cowlings. When replacing the cowlings I cannot get the cowling to fit flush with the fender. It appears that the mounting hole nearest the door is not recessed enough to allow the cowling to fit flush. Has anyone run into this situation?

Mine's the same way. After you install the light bar assembly you won't notice it.
