Hi All
I have a 2004 Wrangler X have owned since 2010 in late 2023 I traveled 100 miles on the freeway and exited and drove on road about 45 MPH and all of a sudden, it started losing power and i pulled over shut it off and restarted after about 3 min and made it there and back no problem. and then it did it again 3 months later so i stopped using the freeway and was fine but just last summer a new problem it started down shifting and did research and had the TCM tested and after a month finally got it back and tested good according to this service associated with autozone by then the weather was cold and it worked fine and then this year the weather got warmer and same thing with downshifting and bucking and the O/D button lite off like last time, so thinking it's an electrical problem like maybe the Main computer? the fluid is clean and at the correct level. please help!

Hi Dan,

You are certainly welcome, but this is a JL Forum. You may want to try the many TJ Forums that are available.
Good Luck!

After 22 years, it's possible the radiator is full of bugs and other road debris preventing proper engine cooling. If you cannot see through the radiator, try using a water hose and flush from the engine compartment.
