2 way components vs 3 way?

Is anyone using a nice set of 2 way components in the front? I feel like a 3 way set with a mid bass in the lower dash and mid and tweeter in the upper would be drastically better than a 2 way in the Jeep but I do have a couple nice sets of 2 way components. Can a 2 way set sound good?

2 ways can sound great. Even the factory speakers can sound a lot better with clean power and bass blockers. In my opinion 3 ways try to do too much. The tweeters often sound hissy and the highs are in the wrong location.
