I have a 2019 JLUR 3.6L and have added winch and winch plate to the front for an additional 116 lbs.
I have added a steel rear bumper/tire carrier for additional wt. 79lbs. (LOD rear 146lbs.-OEM rear 67lbs.) over OEM wt.
All told I have just added 37lbs. to front (79lbs rear-37lbs )( front 116lbs.-rear 79lbs)

Now forget all the above

I want to get a Mopar 2" lift kit, my front has about 1-2" rake.
I've seen where some have advised getting new spring pads for the front, something like Rockcrawler? etc. which I plan on doing since I hear OEM pads rat out later.
Will I need to get some front spacers (Ht.?) because I want my Jeep to sit level.
I do not carry anything to speak of in ther rear and definitely will not be towing a boat or U-Haul. I have a truck for those duties.

Any information, ideas from our Jeep Nation will be greatly appreciated.

Hey, thanks a million. I just don't want to pay to have it installed (would if I had a way to lift it enough to lower the axels) and then go pick it up a d see it still has that "front dip". I appreciate it, that is about what I was thinking. Any recommendations on front/rear track bars? Did you install your own and if so how did you lift it? I have some "thinking outside the box ideas" kind of ideas. JB

I did it on my driveway in the middle of winter with harbor freight floor jack and jack stands lol with wheels off you can droop the axle enough to get the springs in, right now I'm waiting for 50deg weather to put in a 3.5 inch kit

as for track bars, there's plenty of options, do some research because not all play nice with other components like diff covers or a relocated steering stabilizer

After discussing with you I'm feeling encouraged to do the install myself. I won't be in any hurry because it is not my every day driver. I live in Mobile Al and sustained cold spells aren't a issue either. If you dont mind I have a few other questions when you have a moment, I really appreciate you sharing your experience of doing it yourself, I'll enjoy the challenge plus saving the money.
A) What is the max height your floor jacks can attain? I'll probably have to see if my friend has some taller ones than what I have.
B) Did you do it by yourself and appx how long did it take you to complete?
C) My Rubi has the stock 17" wheels and 285/70R17 tires and eventually I plan on upgrading to a 305/75R17 tire. Can I use the stock 17" wheels with 35" tires? and I'd rather not use wheel spacers If I don't have to?
C) Lastly, did it require any unusual tools other than what a backyard mechanic would have other than possibly spring compressors?
Thanks again for you time, have a Happy New Year. Jim

look around in your area. I did mine in a DIY Bay rental shop. You get a lift and all the tools you need / want. Air tools. For $40/hr. It’s not free in the driveway but it’s nice not to crawl around on your back either. Well except the lower control arms because you have to tighten those on the ground.

I did mine in a day with a friend helping who knows a bit about jeeps.

On my Jeep with the 3.6, after steel bumper and winch, 1/2 inch front spacers were needed to bring the front back to where it was before these additions.

hey so the jack I used back then was the Daytona 3 ton low profile I think max height is like 20" but you can stack a piece of wood to get more height

I had a friend give me a hand but mostly was "pass me this or that" whenever I was under the jeep and it took me 8 hours not rushing, 4 hours in the morning lunch break then 4 hours afternoon lol

check with the manufacturer of the kit your getting, most have a required max wheel backspace

no unusual tools, impact wrenched, sockets, torque wrench, etc. I did not use spring compressors, didn't need to since I was able to lower the axles enough
