I’ve considered waiting for the arrival of the JL Stealthbox but my wallet doesn’t agree with the guaranteed $600+ price tag. So I’ve started this project to see how it plays out. The enclosure will house a single 10 inch shallow sub, (still not sure which) any suggestions or advice for this build are appreciated. The edges are still a bit rough and the top will consist os to 1/2 inch layered MDF.

Is this being placed in the floor where the factory sub would go? Really interested to see how this turns out. I have the upgraded infotainment with the sub back there but I'm considering getting something a little more powerful in the back.

Late reply I know, but yes it’ll go in the back and house a 10” NVX sub. I Can’t decide if I want an MDF top or if continuing Fiberglass would be better to keep the height of the enclosure low and under the seat when it folds back.

I have a box I made with 2 jbl 10" subs. I like it a lot, but it takes up my entire cargo area. I am interested to see how this turns out also? How much vibration you have?--I mean how sturdy is the fiberglass enclosure?

Had to put the project on hold. Got to cold here in Chicagoland do deal with the fiberglass in my garage and been out of town on business for the past few months. I am doing it myself from scratch. The plan is to have it sit as low and flush as possible. The fiberglass shell I’ve created is plenty sturdy. I can flip it upside down and stand on it with little to no flex or give. I plan on coating the outside in a rubber sealer to minimize any vibration when I set it into the cargo area.
