2.5 years windshield lasted

Well I made it 2.5 years before I finally got a crack in the windshield. I’ll probably wait until it either gets a few inches longer or if it starts splintering out. What’s the going price on replacement these days?

May be a record, I lasted 2 1/2 months. I had glass coverage, I don't remember what they charged insurance.

Picked my ‘20 up on 9/5/19. 47k +/- miles on it. All kinds of roads and some mild off road. Still original windshield. No cracks or chips. Oh one other thing…. Jeep is not stored in a garage.

Damn, you are doing good! I caught a stone at 647 miles and got a crack 3/4 of the way across

In FL windshield replacement is free as long as you have full coverage insurance.

That must be a record! We've had wifes 2019 for 2.5 years and just got a chip in its 3rd windshield. We just paid insurance deductible on the replacements.

Oh also to add…. About 2 months into ownership, my family and I were cruising down the road…. Probably 45 - 50 mph and a large crow decided to end its life. Fly “dead” center into my windshield. I thought…. Great, here we go. But to my amazement….. nothing.

Took almost 4 years for my windshield to finally crack. Took several rocks throughout that time without any problem. It was the hit I didn't notice that did the windshield in. While I was driving to my Brother's house in Virginia I noticed a crack that was not there a few minutes before was jutting up on the passenger side, about 1/3 of the way up the height of the windshield. It had grown and was spidering out a few days later when I got back home.

I took it in to Safelite, paid a $250 deductable and then my insurance paid the rest of the bill on a new Mopar windshield. I hope this one lasts even longer than 4 years.

My first windshield lasted about 1 year. The 2nd one lasted 48 hours. I think the longer the first windshield lasts, the less time the 2nd one lasts. lol So don't brag how long your first windshield lasts, you might jinx yourself.

I'll just avoid those armor piercing rocks they have in VA.

Purchased in August, just chipped my 2nd windshield. Going to let this one sit a while until it spiders out.
