So a friend of mine ordered a Sahara with a 2.0L engine Tuesday(Not a 4xe). I went to order the same one Yesterday and was told it wasnt available. The only engine available right now (atleast wednesday) was the 3.6L pent.
Is this common that the engine selection goes in and out of availability. Should i bother the dealer to check daily? Or suck it up and order with a different engine....

Correct, it is not available. This was confirmed to me yesterday by a dealer I’ve worked with before.

I imagine all the 2.0s are going into 4Xes right now.

Half doors are also not available.

Vinyl flooring as well.

And 35s are only available on a JLU Rubi X.

Jeep is not OK these days.

Gee, that high of a demand for 4Xes or will they be running out of 3.6s soon too?

Every dealership around here has 90% 4Xe, 9% 2.0, and 1% 3.6 on the lot. Even in the height of scarcity, the only Jeeps on lots were 4Xe.

Sucks, I love my wife's 2.0 and planned on getting one of my own when I son takes my Bronco. No way in hell I'm getting a 4Xe. If this is going to be a permanent elimination of the 2.0, I guess I'll go the TJ route and just plan on taking some time to update/upgrade it and use it as my DD.

My dealer replied and said Apparently there are no more 2.0L ordered allowed until 2025 model orders.
now to decide if i want to keep my Blue one with a 2.0L or get a Pink one with a 3.6L.

They are still using that engine for the 4xe models so I think you should be ok. I'd imagine they want to build so many 4xes this year and that is the reason they arent allowing new orders to have them.
