Got a couplle of questions. Got a new 2018 JL Unlimited in May and am now at 22% for my first oil change. I called the dealer for the Jeep Wave oil change and told them I was at 7200 miles and also wanted the "death wobble" recall while there. They said I was at the 10K maintenance and rattled on a bit and I got an email that said my appointment time was NOT the time they would begin working on my Jeep.

I checked Mopar and the first maintenance looked to be at 20K, not 10K and the recall was not there on the site.

So my MAIN question is what the heck is this 10K crap they are trying to sell me or is it a real thing? And why does the death wobble recall not show up? Is it VIN specific? From what I read here, it was not.

Thanks!

If you log into your Mopar account, you should have a notification of next scheduled maintenance. The owner's manual states oil change intervals shouldn't exceed 10 mi / 12 months, etc... whichever comes first.

You should have received a notice for the V41 recall. Your Mopar account should also show this. If you look underneath, you'll know if you have the upgraded stabilizer.

Also... 5 is the magic number. You may want to remind them 5 quarts...although that may not even do any good. I'm sure you've seen the Oilgate threads here.

Your engine oil is over 12 months old. Change it
