I needed to add more interior lighting for camping because I have "old eyes" and the JP stock interior lights still leave a lot to be desired. These are operated via a DeWALT 5ah 20V battery.

My Eagle Scout son designed a custom topographic hood decal. He downloaded an actual topo map of Philmont Scout Ranch in New Mexico, dropped the image into Photoshop, and deleted some lines for clarity. He worked on the design for many days. The decal looks great IMHO. It minimizes sun glare off the hood so it's also functional.

My modifications are primarily functional and cosmetic. We tow our JL, so it has a Blue Ox Baseplate installed so it can be flat towed behind our RV. My wife loves Sea Turtles, so the cosmetic mads are turtle related.

Other mods were for protection, a Spiderwed Shade to protect our heads from the sun, an under hoo lock and locking gas cap to protect it from theft and entry guards to protect the door sills from scratches.

We camp and we kayak. Picked up the Wrangler so we can get back into flat towing behind the RV.

Already had a Blue Ox tow bar and a classic Brake Buddy for auxiliary brakes. Picked up Thule Hullavators for the Kayaks. The Hullavators are coupled with the Rhinorack Backbone for strength

I think someone should make a little cubby that looks oem for empty space under the HVAC controls. The sport has a hole there.

Or some other accessories specifically for that spot.

That is awesome! He did a great job. Maybe there is a future in this. Where did you go to have it printed out?

Here's my non-winning entry, lol.

1. I used a fitted blanking plate for an easy view of and access to the control panel for my throttle controller.

2. I also added a small LED to the 2nd slot of the USB charging adapter in the 12V power port. With the port's lid lowered, it eliminates the distracting light at night, while concurrently illuminating the transfer case shift lever for a neat effect.

I would like to get this set up. I camp with the Jeep Extreme Trail Rated Camper. I usually go alone due to the wife taking care of the animals and work. I do not venture to far off the beaten path alone. Here are a couple pics camping with my reserve unit before we deployed a couple months later in 2021. I have sense went back to my original premium Sahara wheels and new tires. I like the look better than the Rubicon wheels. You can see the GP Meduim tent in the background. Being a Chief, it is necessary to have your own living quarters on the go.
