The new rules came out today for the tax credit. I’m guessing the wrangler might not qualify for most of it. I have a 4xe on order but not going to come in time for the new rules that start on 4/18.

Yeah, as far as I know Jeep hasn't publicly said whether the battery components would meet the new criteria or not. I would assume they don't; even Tesla has said they're likely losing the rebate under the new rules, and one article I read this morning says it's possible there won't be any vehicles at all that qualify.

If it's really important for you to get that rebate then you may want to shop around for one that's in stock at a dealership and close enough to what you wanted, even if it means paying $2000 to have it shipped across the country. And since you have to take delivery of the vehicle by the 18th, you'll want to get that ball rolling asap if you decide to go that route, or maybe even hop in a plane and go there in person.

Leased mine 1 week ago for exactly this reason and not liking the 2024 grill.

However, given they aren't flying off the lots I believe Jeep will offer incentives to make up for the $3750.

I haven't tracked any auto sales data for quite awhile, but at one point the Wrangler 4xe was the best selling PHEV. Have sales slowed down dramatically for the 4xe, or is it a slow down in sales for the Wrangler in general with competition from Bronco, or maybe a slowdown in the new car market in general?

Just basing this off the plethora of in-stock units I found while looking for mine in the last month. Also, in certain regions they had over $8K in discounts and incentives available beyond the $7500 Fed Rebate.

Perhaps when the new 27-32 regs EPA “confirmed the standards are designed to incentivize consumers to purchase electric vehicles” are announced this week sinks in those who want them will wisely expedite purchase before their demise.
