Im reading that MN no longer allows delivery/sale of gasoline that is less than 20% ethanol. If true, how does this jive with the Jeeps? Don't they have a 15% EtOH max per the user manual?
ETA: read on another forum. Don't see any articles on it.
What are the signs that one or both batteries will soon need replacing? If one goes bad then both should be replaced, I have read.
I dont recall the display ever showing below 14V, now it is at 13, goes up to 13.8 briefly during downhill coasting.
At just under 60k miles, late 2019 build date...
So Eastern KY got some BAD flooding recently. I was wondering if, in an emergency situation, the 4xe in all-electric mode could go deeper than 30" of water. Yes the diff fluids and likely transmission fluid would need to be replaced asap, but if it means being able to get out of a dangerous spot...
Falken MT-01 35x12.5x17. Has under 25k miles on it. Bought last May from 4WP with warranty. I have the spare that I bought with the 4 mounted tires, and an unmounted new tire I got cheap. I wanted to run the back tires another 10-25k miles so they are closer to half tread, and put the two unused...
Asked in JT forum, figure the larger body of experience here would prove helpful to ask also.
Why cant modern Jeeps do what Land Cruisers were doing decades ago? Besides a snorkel, what mods are needed for a Jeep to go this deep?
Yes, I made a thread last year on water fording depth. This...
So I put on my Falken Mud-Terrains at about 15k miles, now at 35k miles, and have essentially rotated them regularly every 5k miles. I missed the last rotation so the when I rotate them this weekend I will run them for 10k miles before rotating again to even out the wear. I've come across an...
If you run only or mostly the electric motor, how are oil changes calculated? Will it be by the monitoring system and changing when the percentage gets too low? Or, if you only run electric (ie around town trips) then once a year? The odometer keeps running regardless of where the power is...
I'm about to hit 35k miles on my JT bought late October 2019. I missed my 30k mile service interval mark (did my own oil and filters), so will combine that and the 40k mile stuff.
30k is just inspecting cv/u-joints, oil, filters, etc. 40k adds replacing axle fluid (for severe use, which per...
Has anyone implemented the Select Speed Control to help going down hills covered in ice? I am seeing that having the wheels keep spinning a little when descending a hill, or even on a flat surface, that is a sheet of ice helps maintain control. Before I try this on my driveway and risk crashing...
Is the 4xe engine different from the JLs? I would assume it has to be. From the Jeep website build tool
4xe uses 2.0L I4 DOHC DI Turbo PHEV Engine
JLUR uses 2.0L I4 DOHC DI Turbo Engine with Start/Stop
Can't find much info on the PHEV engine. Is it the same 2.0L turbo I4? with some modifications?

What probably matters the most to folks is the following:
B. What Is Covered
The Basic Limited Warranty covers the cost of all parts...
If I wanted to buy some spare parts to keep on hand in the garage, what would I get? That is, what are the parts most likely to break. This would be for someone who has say 35s or 37s, does moderate off-roading (no rock climbing). What parts wear out faster from the larger tires and wheeling...
Has anyone filed a claim under such a policy? I've got one with Geico, $10/mo and have their exclusions (very limited) in writing. Sounds essentially identical to an Extended Warranty type deal.
The only things mine doesn't cover is:
regular maintenance (balancing, filters, oil, bake pads...
