Well, about 40 minutes into our 2 hour drive to the dealership I got a call that the Jeep top (SOT) was damaged in transit. Didn't get noticed until the detailers got a hold of it. They sent some pictures and its pretty extensive damage to both the fabric and the body panels. So... back to...

Jeep in this case. Salesperson worked with their Jeep rep. Apparently there was a lot of paperwork and back forth but Jeep is covering the parts and labor. About to leave to go pick up the rig.

Switches and hitch installed this afternoon. Picking up the rig tomorrow. Since they were able to install the switches so quick I imagine the harness was already there but still no official word from a tech that did the install lol. Maybe I’ll find out tomorrow or maybe it will remain a mystery.

Heard back from dealership today. Jeep is covering the install of the hitch and switches. They had parts on hand thankfully and install should start today. If install goes smoothly should be able to pick it up soon. I asked my salesperson to follow with the install tech on exactly what they...

Jeep made it to dealership today (shipped on 2/28 to NC). Arrived without tow hitch or aux switches. Had a chat with dealership and they confirmed most of what we've been seeing here. Jeep bungled extracting those two items as standard equipment and just now added a notification to the website...

We've been using a ski rack to hold our beach rods on trips to OBX. It works but not ideal; really like this solution and may have to bite before summer hits.
