Have a 23 4xe (7,000 miles) with harness installed by selling dealer due to unavailable option when ordered in Sept 23. Consistent dead battery issues after towing jeep for 1 day. Been to 3 dealers for 4 times total with no resolution. about three weeks ago, one dealer confirmed that the "modulators" on the harness at the taillights were staying activated. Have also had trouble with the dask USB charge port that is still not working which was not fixed when they installed the new harness mentioned next.

AFter consulting with Mopar techs, the dealer was told to replace the complete harness which they did. on next tow, the battery charge was good at about 250 miles but dead again at the end of the day (total of 380 miels). consisten issue every day that we stop, use a portable jump pack to get it started each time.

Have Air Force one braking system. I pulled the fuse on that yesterday to see if it made a difference but battery would not start the jeep after a 400 mile tow. Have had the wiring on RV (2022 Tiffin Allegro Red) checked and all is OK including power via the 12v power wire on the jack. When the battery is charged, there is no drain on the battery if the Jeep stays tethered to the RV overnight.

Have heard about some installing a blade battery disconnect switch to eliminate the issue but that will shut the computers down and throw some error codes so prefer not to do that but getting frustrated with the hassles. Intend on pulling the fvarious uses one at a time on the RV harness to see if I can narrow it done. Batteries have been checked by dealer using the extended test process and batteries test OK per their report.

Would appreciate any ideas or comments from those with a similar experience. Thankfully it is a Mopar harness installed by a Mopar dealer. Perhaps the lemon category will apply!

Seems odd. A standard IOD check should isolate this issue rather quickly, assuming your 12v battery hasn't taken a shit. Once these AGM batteries die they don't hold a charge well anymore, even if they re-charge and test "good". Make sure your dealer has replaced it.

Personally if a vehicle comes into a shop with a dead battery and it's under warranty it gets a new battery regardless if the old one "tests good".

Thanks for the advice. I will work on the battery replacement next week after arriving at my final destination. After posting this, I found another thread that blamed the drain on the wire back to the computer that is used to tell the system that a tail light is not working, effectively keeping the system active Davey time I spply the brake.
