I'm assuming hand gun? I don't have it, but I've heard good things about the tuffy boxes to include the console. My guns are on my person or transported in the cargo area when I go to the range.

I've got the Tuffy console box and rear storage box. Heck, it even holds a tennis raquet!

Oh come on @UKCATS guns arent scary...the person holding it may be but not the gun.

I can assure you my Rubicon has the potential to be a lot more "scary" and inflict much more harm than a pistol or long rifle.

How does the Consolevault differ from the Tuffy console system?

Granted mine is a jk so this might not fit in a JL, but I worked up a bracket for a vaultek slider to sit behind the passenger seat. Quick finger scan or fob press and it presents the handgun right behind the center console.

It does interfere with back passenger legroom though.

For more or longer storage I use a grenadacorp box above the back storage area that mounts to the hard top and roll bars.
