What are these

Have a 2018 Jeep JLU Wrangler Sport. I bought it with a few aftermarket items. one in particular are these what seem to be steering stabilizers. The problem that I have is when I was on a trip before the u-bolts had broken on the bracket behind the stabilizers and I had to get custom u-bolts to fix it. But now it seems that the mod is bunching up in the front. So the questions I have are what are these in particular. And do I really need them.

Looks like dual steering stabilizers on top of stock steering stabilizer.......
So 3 steering stabilizers...
And damn those bolts.. you must of lost at least 2” clearance to those bolts alone..

I'll let someone with more experience make the final answer/recommendation, but that looks sketchy as hell. If it were mine I'd remove them and revert it back to how it came from factory, then go from there.

Yeah like I said I bought the jeep with a few aftermarket parts on it already but it seems like the guy who had it before me didn't really know what he was doing and the dealership stated that there was over $20,000 worth of upgrades and mods done to it but I'm not really sure if that was true. And the wife keeps bringing it up to me that they look weird

My suggestion: remove the dual stabilizers because they look sketchy as heck. And bring your Jeep in to the dealers for V41 recall that will install you a replacement steering stabilizers for free.

Maybe if you ask nicely enough, your dealer performing the recall could remove those dual stabilizers for you!

It almost looks like 3 stock steering stabilizers with two rigged to make a dual.

I've never seen anything like that on a jeep. I'm guessing the previous owner was trying to cover up a major issue.

I'd take it back to the dealer and tell them to make it right.

You may have the record for the most steering stabilizers on a jeep.

I agree with the others, in that you'll want to remove that entire dual stabilizer rig. The only components you need up there are the Track Bar, Drag Link and Tie Rod, with the single stabilizer remaining attached to your tie rod. Based on how the dual stabilizer thing is attached (U-bolts), it should be an easy disassembly as long as that rusted U-bolt doesn't give you problems. Good luck!

Factory is a single stabilizer and the V41 retains that, it just swaps in a different unit with stickers that are (apparently) confusing

So I removed the dual steering stabilizers and found a part number. It is
SkyJacker Black MAX High Clearance Dual Steering Stabilizer Kit
I have not had a chance to drive it yet with out them but apparently from the reviews it mitigates the steering wheel chase in the front end. But only time will tell. If there is really a problem I will look in to replacing the factory stabilizer
