Anyone experiencing this issue? I usually use the USB inside the middle compartment (in between both seats) to charge my headphones. It was working the first time I used it but lately it has not. I tried different cables and still nothing. The dashboard USBs all work fine. I haven’t tested the rear ones yet. The light inside the compartment is also working

Are you selecting that USB (#2) on the touch screen?

I am not.. Thought it was always on no matter what? That's how it was on my Cherokee..

Depending on when you plug it in. I. E. If you leave it in, you'll probably have to select the right input when you get in and start up. If the radio was on and you plug in, go to media tab, it may not require you to do that.

Just picked mine up and none of the USB ports are working. Hopefully there is a quick resolution.

A van and a boring car

I'd do a fuse check as the first troubleshooting item

I bought a USB meter. Some USB outlets are only digital feeds while some also provide DC power. My 2015 Mustang has a USB port that does not provide enough power to charge a Li-ION battery, while another serves dual purpose.

This is strange but I decided to sit in the back and have my sis drive around. I noticed that the USB lights on the rear were not lit. I plugged in my phone and nothing. It was not charging. I went ahead and started opening the little plastic cover for the 120-volt port and noticed that the light will turn on and off. After playing around with it, I closed it until the lights were on and bam all of them started working, even the middle compartment one.

Is this normal? Can someone who has the same issue try it out.

On mine all of the back lighting works but the ports still don't. No rhyme or reason to this it seems.

Not sure if this is normal operations or if an issue with mine, but if i have a device (phone or thumb drive) plugged it before I start the Jeep the radio does not recognize that a device is plugged it but if after the Jeep has started and I plug in the same device it will recognize it being there and work normally. So far noticed this pattern with the front usb port and the middle port haven't tried the others yet

this is with the 7" unit

I would think this is normal behavior.

From my experience, leaving a device plugged in like an Ipod, didn't allow the vehicle to read it. If you unplug then plug in the unit reads instantly. So I don't leave my Ipod plugged in.

Damn that's some poor design because I would like to leave a thumb drive in the center console and have it at my disposal

I just had my USB issues corrected. The dealer found the connection to be loose to the head unit and I am back in business for all my ports.
