I think we should all chip in to get Stuweeks some Ace Sliders.
I'll pitch in for this, not any sliders. He's gonna get a new Jeep. Just watch and see

Not to hijack your thread but I posted the below in another thread about my experience just to give you an idea of what you're up against. LEMON laws vary by state but you'll usually be required to go through their arbitration process first to get the vehicle replaced. They are not going to willfully offer you lifetime warranties, free oil changes, or even an apology so get that out of your head now.

Oh man, don't even get me started on leaking transmissions. I just traded in my 2017 RAM after it was in the shop 7x for a leaking transmission.

They did the same thing the first time, replaced the pan gasket. Here's how mine went.

1st service: Replace supposedly cracked transmission pan
2nd service: Replace pan gasket
3rd service: Replace transmission pan and gasket
4th service: replace transmission heater
5th service: replace tranmssion heater/cooler (again)
6th service: they said it's not leaking despite me showing them pics
7th service: they said it's not leaking despite me showing them pics of it CLEARLY leaking.

I would get under every day, wipe it down, come out the next day and there's another drop. Take it to the dealer, they say it's not leaking.

The transmission sat over the exhaust pipe so when the green tran fluid leaked onto the exhaust the smell filled the cab of the truck .

Dealer was obviously not interested in trying to repair it anymore so I tried their arbitration process which was denied as not being a serious "safety risk" or enough risk to the value of the vehicle and was told to keep using the warranty. Take it to the dealer they say it's not leaking. So basically I had a 50k truck with less than 9k miles on it where nobody would help with an extremely clear issue. I kept asking them why they won't make me happy and just replace the transmission. They didn't care. You call the RAM Cares number and all they do is connect me to the dealer while I'm on the line to setup another appt? I could have done that....My blood is starting to boil just posting this.

Ate it and traded it in. That dealer can go eff itself.

Wow! That is terrible customer service and build quality!

I bought my Tesla from a used car dealer. It wasn’t certified preowned or bought from Tesla. It had some minor issues so I called a service center about 3 hours away. They sent someone all the way to my house, dropped off a new loaner Tesla, took my car back to the service center, repaired nearly everything I mentioned, gave me free $500 accessories, fully detailed my car, gave me regular updates, and brought it directly back to my house for $0. And your Jeep was new, warrantied, AND had, “Jeep Cares”. Holy cannoli.
@JeepCares a lot of us are sitting and waiting to buy a Wrangler and are watching how this gets handled... which story do you want to represent Jeep? one like this Tesla story, or the one the OP shared?

Out of curiosity, did you consult an attorney after you were denied a lemon claim during arbitration?

FCA seems to have earned its reputation

I am sorry this is your story with your JL! It really ruins the experience with your new baby. I know, this happened to me on a new BMW in 2009 - such a long saga I will not even take the time. However, my advice, get a new JL. Your JL may or may not ever be made right but regardless you will never love this Wrangler because of this crap. Again, I hate that you are going through this mess. Really.

I wanted to but Colorado is a state where I'm responsible for the attorney fees if we lose the case and I wasn't trying to drop the money on that too.

I'm still on the fence about getting a Jeep. It's all going to come down to how well the BSG system works, how cool the new Bronco is, and if there's a couple more options/special edition for 2019/2020. I really want essentially a Sahara 2-door with a manual transmission and a cool paint job.

But I've seen some pretty nasty stories about the brand new JL's that make me thinking waiting for a year or two is a good idea.

I would suggest that if the dealership in Antioch hasn't fixed the Jeep yet that you get it to Franklin. I say this because of the local demographics the Franklin store is all about customer service. Let's face it, the people in Franklin can go wherever they want so to keep their local customers they do a pretty good job. At least that has been my experience with them. Now buying from them is a different story for the same reason. The local buyers can and will pay "whatever" to get what they want so the sales department tries to keep prices high. They will deal on the end of the month, I got my 2017 JKU on October 31 of 2016 and they cut me a smoking deal. So good in fact that in the business office the finance guy looked at the paperwork and said "hold on" and walked out of the office. When he came back in he said "it is right, you got a heck of a deal." Just be prepared to walk away a couple times. Problem is without many JL son the lot you're not going to have that option, when you come back it will be gone.

As far as parts availability, Mid Tenn Ford went out to the lot and took a part off of a brand new truck to get me back on the road. That also happened with a dealer in Roswell, New Mexico. It may be different because the fords were F450 and F350 trucks I used for my business. The problem with that is that there is no inventory on the lot to steal parts from.

You don't get this low in the auto industry without trying.

Jeep. Fiat. It's a body on frame solid axle SUV with buyers that prefer reliable simplicity over the newest tech. Insane prices are paid for such a vehicle. How hard can it be to maintain at least industry average reliability?

It's interesting, because due to infotainment systems, everyone has lost at least part of the initial quality problems side. However, FIAT, Chrysler, GM, Chrysler are basically in their own little seperate world where iteration, engineering, are second rate. Think of the 2 decades where Chrysler refused to fix their piston ring design, that caused tons of oil smoking and consumption for their 4-bangers. It's like they just don't care.

Even if something is a sh*it design, at least have the dealer care of you. Look at Acura and their horrible past decade. At least they white-glove service you while your car is in the shop 30 times. Makes you look past your lemon.

Good luck my friend. I had the pleasure of dealing with FCA on my 2017 JKU. I had severe leaking issues. 17 visits, 3 different dealers, 78 days out of service. All in the first 7 months of ownership. I just completed the return of the Jeep back in December. This was my second JKU. The first one leaked too, just no where near like the 17 did. I went through 3 case managers. First one is Canada. The last two in Texas at the resolutions center. FCA has earned their reputation. No question about that. They lie, they do not accept any blame and no one returns calls in any type of timely manner. Be prepared to buckle in, it's gonna be a long and frustrating ride dealing with FCA. Love the look of the new JL, but I am done with FCA.

I really wish Fiat would just sell the Jeep brand to someone else. Not that they can, as it's financially pointless for FCA to exist without it...

I mean the execs would make out like bandits, as well as any investors. There’s really no reason for the Chrysler to exist anymore, save the Challenger. GM + Ford have it all well covered. FCA is pretty much heading toward being a Mitsubishi.

Remember all those "should I buy a first model year JL or not?" threads?

Yeah...
