Splendid! I hope you can recover quickly though. Same for your Dad.
He's in better shape than I am... and nearly twice my age! Seriously, I lost him around Mile 28; he just took off. Just a bit of muscle soreness really, nothing a little rest won't fix.

Next year though, I have to train for this. If he comes out again, I need to keep up. :muscle:

Saturday was a real tear-jerker. I was not exaggerating when I said she was a Grandmother to all of us, the teenagers and twenty-somethings were crying the hardest during the service, regardless of blood relation or not.

Thanks. He’s trying his best to get into rotc, but has some health hurdles to cross first.
Ah yes, I know ROTC is a great program, even if you don't enter the service afterwards its a good thing to do.

Mornin' Jeeples! Everything hurts today...

Weekend was a whirlwind of cycling! Started off at 6AM Saturday to pick up Dad at the airport, followed by bagels for breakfast. Subway into Manhattan to pick up Dad's rental bicycle. First time he was on one in 25 years, and it started raining. :asshat::rain:

We cycled around Manhattan to the Bike Expo to get our race packets for Sunday, pouring rain the whole time. Return home; 15 miles for the day. Shower, regroup, out to get pizza and pastries. :involve:

Return home, we call it a day around 9:30; big day on Sunday. :time:

Sunday. 51°F. Constant driving rain. Time to ride 40 miles!:devil::asshat::rain:

Ride to subway station near the East River; ride the train to WTC. Circle around to Trinity Church, and we're off!

Through Central Park...

A rest stop at mile 15 in Astoria :involve:

40 miles, 4.5 hours, constant rain, lake sized puddles, and one broken bike chain later, and we're in Staten Island boarding the ferry home, soaked to the bone, shivering, and covered in grime. :turkey::muscle:

Oh I'm still mall crawler. LOL

My buddy with a buggy thinks I should treat my baby like he does his. That's not going to happen.

I like to wash and drive my Jeep daily. No need to rip parts off to prove anything to anyone.

WELL, it's not the scratches but mostly the 4 doors... :bandit:
