I recently withheld my recommendation for hiring somebody because their resume had incorrect grammar and punctuation, as well as inconsistent formatting. I have a zero tolerance policy for that stuff. In today's day and age, misspelling anything, especially on something like a resume or a published work, is inexcusable.

We also have some of the best tradesman in Florida and there writing skills suck also but they are the best of the best

I was watching a couple of our labors months ago and they were on FB on the boss's clock and I though of all the employees I have had in my business that I would have probably fired .

I had a feeling you would say something when I posted this...

Part of this consideration is the type of work. I would expect a journalist to have impeccable writing mechanics. I expect engineers to have the same, given the nature of the work (contract writing, precision analyses, etc.).

We all have, or will. I think it's inevitable. I'm 63 and still have a decent head of hair, but I am starting to see daylight up there, exactly like my Dad, and his Dad.

Yup 56 and no male pattern baldness, but thinner then when I was 45. I only cut my hair 3 times a year. No-one likes the crew cut but me, then I let it grow till I can't stand it and cut it back.
