I was in HI when my mom passed. Dad called and asked if I was coming home for the funeral and like a chickenshit, I said no cuz I couldn't handle it. Something I still regret.

Not that I doubt your workmanship Mr. Dan (quite the opposite!), but was that wall in the middle load bearing? How did you guys support the ceiling with it removed?

Multi-family buildings or Condominiums have either Pretension or Post-tension floors so all interior walls are Non- load bearing

However we do have to work around plumbing and electrical chase's when designing new floor plans and layouts
