I believe that is incorrect for the Wrangler thus far.

This is true with CVT vehicles like the Subaru Crosstrek, for example.

I got an auto because I'm old and tired. I smoke (actually vape since I quit the Marlboros) and drink coffee in my vehicles...auto makes life easy.

Same here which sealed the deal on ordering it from the factory. If you want stick you have to order it for the most part -- or accept a base very low optioned model if you can find one. Even on a lot full of dozens of 17/18 JKs none are manual. Lazy new generation lol.

I was about to stick up for myself for getting an auto by saying part of my reason was to get the remote start. But, that makes me feel even more lazy.

There was a news story about an older woman getting carjacked by three young men. When they got into her car they realized it was a stick and each took turns trying to drive it, meanwhile the lady is just waiting by her car. When they can’t figure out how to drive her car they took off. I love how she just waited by her car :cwl: It is a true theft deterrent.

I've checked the Huntington Beach, CA Jeep website and it shows 28 JLs in stock, all automatic, all soft tops.
3 Rubicons, 5 Saharas, the rest are all Sports.

Jeep chat tried to tell me today that I have only got into status "I" 4 days ago....I laughed at them and told them it is not true and that I have an update from from my dealer showing my car in status "I" as of Jan 16th.
Of course, the chat person didn't find my complaint from earlier this month about the delay and promised - again - to escalate my complaint and get an answer to me via email on why the car stuck in status "I" for almost 3 weeks now.
I have really lost all trust in the chat service, it is a laughable token bullshit service with no real information to give. I hope my dealer will have better luck with FCA to get answers.

99% sure it's waiting. I was in that status for about 8 days, before I could see the changes in location each day as my Jeep slowly (my reference point of course) move south on the tracker...
From watching the reports, I've seen people in that status for a bit more or less than me. Seems like they wait until the car is full to ship out. You're almost there!!

No harm done. It says right there in the very post you quoted that tracking is closed to new numbers, it will open again but they don't know when, and that it will be first come first serve from the time it opens, nobody will have a spot held for them.

You didn't say anything crazy but it's just something that's done daily. If you read through the posts, there are many people waiting to get on that list (including myself). There is no wait list and there is no one tracking your information that you posted on here.
