I hear you! That’s exactly why I bought one actually. My wife was wanting something to take to the beach and take the dogs to the vet and make trips to Home Depot etc. She was wanting to buy something a little newer but I wanted to buy something that would appreciate rather than depreciate which is why we ended up with this. I honestly have a little more money in this than I wanted to, picked it up for only six grand but I have done some fairly extensive restoration on it since then. I’m still not in it too bad, I’ve got 12 grand in it total but it’s got zero rust, frame off restoration, Pawsey track 355 rear ended with A very high performance 700 are for torque converter that shift so fast you would think it’s a dual clutch. 350 with a big cam so gets up and moves pretty good. Plus I’ve got 10 inch wide wheels on the back so it can put the power down.

Man that thing has a good stance! Always love the design of these trucks, when I was a kid this is what I thought of when I fell out of a truck.

Yeah, I had to put some money in it to get it to where it is. I got 12k in it, been offered 15k, I figure the right buyer would give me 18k tops. But fuck it! I got it running right. And have just been enjoying the shit out of her, so I’ll just driver her for a while. Really a blast to drive, and get compliments everywhere you go.

This is my 76 gmc square. i dont think ill ever let it go. its just about fully rebuilt. rebuilt th350 trans. rebuilt 400 small block. had it repainted in the factory og color. I am about done changing the interior color from blue to black. just down to the the dash pad and its complete. for now. but i do want to get some arb lockers on it in the near future
