My 2018 JLU Sahara w/ Fresh New Tints.
I'm glad i opted for the body colored freedom panels for a measly 2k. I want to drive my jeep, not have it sit waiting longer for more paint. Crazy.I definitely want tints. Slight theft deterrent. I’m glad I didn’t opt for the body colored freedom panels for an extra like $2k. My local auto body shop that I’m good with said he’d only charge me $300 to paint mine to match. Crazy.
Do you know the percentage and brand tint they used?My 2018 JLU Sahara w/ Fresh New Tints.
Probably a silly question, but my first time with a jeep wrangler. I know it comes with some tint, but when you say new tint are you redoing all the tint or just the driver and passenger? I like the look so want to know more.![]()

My 2018 JLU Sahara w/ Fresh New Tints.
I've always tinted the "factory tint" rear windows when I got the fronts tinted. It really does help.Probably a silly question, but my first time with a jeep wrangler. @whoashaun. This is the exact Jeep I’ve ordered. Can you take more photos of the inside and outside? Much appreciated.
15% PINNACLE SERIES PREMIUM CERAMIC FILMDo you know the percentage and brand tint they used?
I had the same idea. A local paint shop said they could do it for $500, but while the paint would be the same color, it wouldn't have the shine since it's fiberglass and it would chip. Is your guy able to do it like they do from the factory for that price?I definitely want tints. Slight theft deterrent. Just the driver and front passenger windows, the rest of the Jeep was factory tinted, but I might re-tint the factory tint. It's 15% and matches all around, but you can see the difference from the inside out.Probably a silly question, but my first time with a jeep wrangler. I know it comes with some tint, but when you say new tint are you redoing all the tint or just the driver and passenger? I like the look so want to know more.
I didn't get the windshield done, just the 15% ceramic on the side windows..
Tint looks good!
Did you have the full windshield done?
I had the side windows done in 18% pro nano ceramic and 70% pro nano ceramic applied on the full windshield. It is great! No issues with night driving or reflections, and the benefits are great.
.
Most times you get what you pay for, I’d be highly suspect of a high quality job for that price... buyer beware.I definitely want tints. Slight theft deterrent. I’ve used this guy before he’s a friend of mine and does quality work. He said it would have the same quality shine the only thing that would differ is the non-painted tops have a slight texture to them where as the factory painted tops are smooth. He said he used to sand them down and then paint them but it was a lot of work, yielded almost the exact same result, but added a lot in labor costs. I’ve seen him do it before and you wouldn’t be able to tell the difference.
I wouldn’t do it now. I’d wait till the summer when it’ll just be sitting around anyway.
