What did you do TO your Jeep JL today?

Finally got my 50" mounted and tested at night. I went with the @Rough Country Suspensions SR 50" Black Series and the @Artec Industries cowl mounting brackets. The bar is a little under 50" and the brackets sit right around 52", so I had to make two 1" spacers (one for each side) and used M8-1.25x40mm hex cap bolts. I wired it into my Trigger Controller for power.

Also, FYI, M8 bolts do not fit through the Artec brackets (I think some light bars use smaller bolts maybe M6), so I had to open up the hole/notch a little bit with my Dremel. I then re-sprayed them with truck bed coating to texture match the other components on my Jeep.

The light also came with a nice snap-on blackout cover, which literally does blackout the light completely.

Overall, I'm very happy with the products and and the end result!!

Also, here's a #selfie of me, after turning back off my light bar and using just LED headlights...

How is the view from the cabin? Does that light bar cause any distractions where you have it located?

I installed the Mopar Bumper Mount Light Bracket. Not very impressed with the quality of the install process, its definitley an afterthought by the engineers. But it doesnt look bad. Have Rigid cubes on for now but may switch to a larger round.

Nah it's fine. Barely even notice it.

My pet peeve so to speak is why manufacturers' have to booger up a decent product by putting a logo that stands out like a sore thumb, (in this case an oversize logo) on their product offering. Personally, I think the ROAM logo is overboard. I myself would have painted that friggin thing black.

That panel comes off so easy too which would make it even easier. Had to remove it to install my Mopar Tailgate Table. I went this route but it’s a very similar idea.

As you can see, they feed through the same way but I’m sure it’s a little tighter getting the straps through the stock panel slots but very doable for sure! I almost just went that route instead.

Relocated the 5 inch Mopar lights from the top of the brackets to the sides allowing for the windshield to still fold. While not as asthetically pleasing it is more functional this way. Also added the CHMSL relocation kit so i don’t see that ugly plastic loop sticking out the back. Lux monster rock lights coming this weekend.

The molle bags do not fit through the tailgate slots that are standard on the jeep, due to the metal clips on the straps. You either have to cut a little into the back of the plastic slats (not visible once done). Of you can use zip ties and then run your straps through those. I am sure someone else might have other ideas. You can find molle bags of all shapes and sizes on Amazon.

No need. The plates that go behind the logo are optional, and they come powder coated black to match the steps, so you would barely notice the logo, which actually looks cool when accented IMO. Not excess at all...
