I was wondering if somebody could give me a little technical advice. I didn’t think a Stinger bar would be confusing to install, but I’m a little stuck right now. Any one that has installed one of these, are you supposed to use two of the original bumper Torx bolts in the “blank” holes? Because it seems like the original bolts are too short to get the flange nuts to thread. Also, what is the correct orientation of the reinforcement brackets? Any help would be appreciated. On a side note, they shorted me a flange nut, so hopefully that one isn’t too hard to find at the hardware store.

Something that sounds technical, but it's not.
I am working on an addition to the instructions. This is 90% complete but maybe these will help. (Updated with final draft images)

Thank you. This was extremely helpful. I called them, and they’re going to send the longer bolts. Thanks again for putting this together.
If you see anything I need to change, clarify, or another picture that might help. Please let me know. Glad this helped.

I had similar problem. I just went out and bought longer bolt from Lowes. You're right their instructions were not great. The hardest thing I had to do was pulling those dang retaining clips out of the bumper. I'm sure there is an easy trick but I dont know it.

I agree, it was unsettling ripping factory metal clips off. You almost felt like you were doing something wrong. Overall, I really like this stinger, and glad I went with it.

Almost done.

Here is the final draft that was sent to James and Joe at Maximus-3. They've been patiently waiting for the update. For anyone else having issues with the support bracket installation, I'm attaching a full set of instructions. This is the instructions PLUS the updated bracket install. Thanks to everyone for their support and input.

@Jeepmarkjl I’m not 100% sure, but I think Maximus 3 may be sending me these very ones in the mail, so you could reach out to them and they’d probably send them out for you.
@Brad41 Please let us know whether they're sending these matching bolts. TIA

So if we order it one of these from Maximus do we get these bolts that we need ? or do we have to order them separately. Confused

I got mine on 12/28 with the bolts that were needed. However, I still ended up using the hard top bolts because they looked better.
