I love them! I ordered them from the factory. I think the drain holes are particularly great. What does everyone think of the floor liners? I found this video from Quadratec....I think they look awesome!
I don't believe it works that way. I think the floor plug is already removed and so you just unplug the floormat, then drain and or rinse it out. I don't think you have to lift it and pop the main drain plug.So if you spill a cup of coffee on it, you can't even lift the whole thing up and pour it out like other floor liners, because it has a FUCKING HOLE? I DON'T WANT TO LIFT UP THE FLOOR MATT WHEN THERE'S A PUDDLE OF SHIT WATER ON IT ALREADY AND WIGGLE MY FAT FINGERS AROUND TO YANK THE DRAIN PLUG
So you're saying drive with that drain plug unplugged?I don't believe it works that way. I think the floor plug is already removed and so you just unplug the floormat, then drain and or rinse it out. I don't think you have to lift it and pop the main drain plug.
No. Look closely at the floor liner. It has a molded part that protrudes down into the floor drain hole. It appears to have to be pressed down into it. I'm betting it snaps right into that hole. The plug in the floor liner seals it. It should seal just as well as with only the floor drain plug. Then, when draining is needed, you just unplug the floor liner plug, and water runs out of the Jeep. Hopefully, I'll be able to give you a first hand account of how it works sometime next week.So you're saying drive with that drain plug unplugged?
I don't like it. I would rather just pull out the liner and wash it outside of the jeep and I don't like cutting a hole in my carpet. Also, how long until the liner starts to leak when crossing waterNo. Look closely at the floor liner. It has a molded part that protrudes down into the floor drain hole. It is possible that if you ordered them from the factory, the cut is already made. Maybe not, though. I'll let you all know here in the coming days.I don't like it. I ran my YJ full time with the drain holes open. I had the inside sprayed with Line-x and decided to just leave the drains open. Of course, it was a YJ, so noise was no issue. I never felt air coming through it, either, but the YJ had a blast furnace for a heater and a very strong air conditioner, so it wouldn't have mattered. However, the hole was a little smaller than what it appears the JL's will be.2:43
ok I get it now. I must have been pretty high to have missed that part. So the liner hole goes into the Jeep's drain plug hole, and you put the factory drain plug into the floor liner hole. The thing I was worried about was noise and temperature change with a hole in the body.
I rather just wait for Husky or Weathertech to make a regular floor liner with no holes.
