The trains are loaded and coming.....west coast will be the last probably for them to start showing up. My salesman/Jeep Dealership is a Wrangler place here in Colorado. They know what's going on and keep me informed on the loaded Billet Silver Rubicon I ordered. They had a Red Sahara demo last week and an almost identical Rubicon as the one I ordered. My salesman called me as soon as it came in. Told him I would be there the next day to 'look' at it. Gone the same day, someone walked in or was alerted, I posted it up on this forum.....gone.
Think as soon as the trains/trucks start unloading, there will be a bunch, this forum will be busy.
Last time I bought a 'first'...was a 2015 Z06...'on-star' could be turned on, and you could actually track it on the train. My car spent 3 weeks to get here from Bowling Green, sat in the train depot for 3 days before they brought it to the dealer....it was a long wait....but it did come.
It's been almost two weeks since the Jeeps started showing up on the delivery sight....probably another week and the floodgates will open.
All this to be the first....it's in my blood, can't help it.....btw.... I bought my first Jeep in 1982, a red CJ 2dr, it's a way of life here in Colorado.
Went as far as a complete build of a 1999 TJ on 42's...trailered it....Slowing down a little, I'll keep my built '12 Rubicon....and have the new JL to tour and go off-road as I always do.....it's great if your a true 4-wheeler and live out west....it's what I do......not a garage queen....they get used.

I was driving by a Napeltons Jeep dealer yesterday and decided to stop by and see if any JL's were on the lot.
Why did I even bother.
First salesman had no idea what a JL Wrangler was. He directs me to another sales guy, maybe a senior sales guy and he pulls out the JL brochure and shows me it. He then states that there are no more 2018 JL orders and they will only be for 2019. WTF????
Either he was a total buffoon or he was being a typical lying, slime-ball car salesman trying to steer me towards the JK's on the lot. Regardless, that idiotic dealership will NEVER get my business.
Similar to my story they just want you to buy what's on the lot. They will say anything!

Is anyone else watching these videos and thinking that our JL is going to have extra mileage because everyone wants to test drive it at the dealership?
If you are seriously asking, no need to worry. If it is an ordered vehicle, it should be considered a sold unit by the dealership and not available for test drives by just anybody.

My dealer sold all 4 of their JLs they had on the lot within a day of getting them(they weren't even listed on the site yet.) I planned on going to see them yesterday after my kids basketball games, but he informed me they all sold about halfway though the day. I'm still waiting on my order, but I really wanted to see one in person.

I try not it to get into all the silly "real" arguments. I've had Harley Davidson's and didn't join a biker gang, and tattoo my face. I've had fast Mustangs in my life and didn't go to track every weekend and buy racing slicks. I know many Corvette guys, that don't drive 170 mph's. It's all horseshit. People can buy what they want and use it as they wish. If someone thinks 4 door Jeeps aren't real, then don't buy one. If theh don't like tech, buy one with as few options as possible. Personally, I want the most capable and ad advanced Jeeps my $ can buy. If I decide to go more hardcore one day and hit some serious trails, I will . If not, oh well. Just knowing that I can makes me happy. That's "real" to me.

Amen!

Not sure if anyone has ever mentioned or noted before, that the shape on the back of the front seats is the exact shape of the door handles. I love this kind of things, meaning they followed some find of a theme, over just throwing things around and look at the final result.
(And if it has been mentioned before, sorry I’ve read a lot of posts but not all of em ;) )

I think I saw that the sun visors also have that shape on them

The base sport S wheels have grown on me a tad and look almost exactly the same as the ones on the JK Chief.

I still can't get over my dislike of the base Sahara wheels. Hate that silver shiny outline over the black.

My local dealer had. Rubi and A sport come in the other day and I got to check them out this afternoon.... first impressions are great, you can tell they spent some time on the JL, it doesn’t feel rushed or cheap at all.... the design while subtle and aggressive in Rubi form definitely reminds me of the TJ (IMO a great thing) overall it feels much more purposefully done then the JK. I didn’t get to drive it, but I came away very impressed with what I did see, I’m pretty anal and partucilar about details, obviously we all know the JL is more expensive then the JK, in person and from first impressions I can see where every dollar of that went, and I’m not even talking about the interior really, I’m talking about the perceived execution of the entire vehicle.... I mainly focused on the Rubi, but the sport was very nicely done as well, I’m not crazy about the front bumper closers or the small tires on it but those can be changed easily.

Did you happen to notice the MPG between the two on the window stickers?
