Patiently waiting for the Jeep I ordered to come in, but did get the rock rings I was waiting for.

I have a set of these Phaze 8 Rock Rings powder coated red if anybody is interested - PM me.
Apparently they do not fit on Method 307s :(

Are you noticing any increase in road noise? It's not a big concern for me, but I am just wondering what to expect. I have to decide if I want to install it in the Ohio winter weather, even though I won't be able to use it for months (realistically)
@MALL R8D

I would not say the noise level has increased really. The cabin does have a slightly different sound now though.

I don't know how to explain in but the noise level is kind of even all over. With the the Freedom Panels, to me, it seemed there was more noise on the passenger side. Anyway, for what it is worth, I do not feel the cabin is noisier.

As for installing in the Winter time. That's up to you. IF you aren't going to use it in the Winter then buy now cause the price is right and then just install in the Spring.

I'm back and forth from NY to Florida so installed mine for when I'm in Florida, which is quite often.

Is this something you could install for the summer and remove in the winter for Freedom panel use? I live in snow country with a number of ski resorts in the area and I don't think hundreds of pounds of snow sitting on the soft top overnight would be any good for it. Is this a feasible idea or would an annual uninstalling and reinstalling be inadvisable? Thanks!

@XTrooper

Once you do the initial assembly of the Sunrider, the install itself takes say 10-15 mins. With that said, you can easily take it on and off as you desire. Again, 10-15 min. to put on and the same to take it off.

Mine was delivered today :)

I lost my place in line with the weird cancellation hiccup, but it shipped really quickly after I reordered.

Great! Do you think you're going to install it now or wait till spring?

I bought the twill so I am tempted to put it on now just to see how it handles Ohio winters. My intention is to leave it on year round once it is installed.

Of course, it is evil cold here so I don't know if I want to do anything outside. :)

How long did it take to arrive after ordering?
LOL. Well. They told me it was in stock. Then it didn't ship for a week. Then the basket didn't ship for a few weeks after that.... so.

Honestly, the quality is outstanding. The shipping boxes, and packing were top notch (if not annoyingly TOP notch) and well protected. The instructions are rather, awkward and impossible to follow. I've yet to figure out how to put the tow chain bracket on, and was told "we've done a ton of these with no problem" so I've decided to fix it myself when I have time. The camera mounting, and wire routing are difficult at best, and you'll be ripping out your interior side panel to do it their way. Tested it on the trail today, with the basket empty as a shakedown run, and it did fine. A little front/back motion, but nothing bad. No rattles. None. The door opens closes easily. It's a little heavy, but I like the "feel" of it. The separation hardware is easy to use. I've got two holes in my door where the stock rubber bumpers are, but that's about it. I was shy a few 5/16x1" bolts, but nothing a few more duckets couldn't handle at Home Despot. The entire thing was done by me alone.

Ok been a while and I’ve been waiting so finally works it’s on its way. In my life been working my job hard and same with Jeep as most of my major exterior accessories have been done as my interior goes well this Jeep is going a little bit on the overlanding way. I do love my fishing so here’s the start. Back seats out also bass speaker panel is also out stripped to floor and the start of pull out kitchen project. Best sliders ever! Made by Accuride. I’m using the 600 pound plus strength. I attached 2 together which gives me 60inch pull out from the back of Jeep. I had to cut out center plastic of basket were 2x4 had to go over it to fit flush to floor There’s more to come :)

Two comments:

* Those sliders are awesome! I don't think I've ever seen ones so substantial, maybe only larger and that's because I'm a woodworker. Do you have a link for those Accuride's? I bet they most cost a king's ransom. My pipedream bucket list project:

The German manufacturer of these slides...you don't want to know with shipping and currency exchange, not to mention base price what these bad boys will set you back.

* ;)Smart to cover your tags, at least partially Eric. I can't imagine (although I may be wrong--it's just satire) what the first letters might go I mean stand for.;)
