9:36 now. We are south of Fort Francis. So central time zone. So, it should be the same. And We switch at similar times.

So why would the clocks switch??? I’m totally confused. Maybe it’s a time warp location.

Ok. Further research.

Three communities in that “area” have unique time situations.

Atikokan is in Central Time Zone, but observes Eastern Standard Time for half the year.

Pickle Lake and New Osnaburgh are CT, but observes Eastern Time year round.

Saskatchewan is geographically in Mountain, but observes Central Standard Time year round.

I have no idea if it’s any of this strangeness that you’ve been caught up in? Doesn’t seem like it should be, but given all the above, weirder things have happened...

And I bet your employer pays through the nose for it too. Especially if you guys work construction.

Don't get me wrong, my coverage is mostly subsidized by my employer too.

Not to get too political, but healthcare is a right, not a privilege. There's something fundamentally wrong when a near death experience (say, a heart attack) can put you in debt for the rest of your life.
