Do you have a good relationship with the first dealer that you want to maintain? Was it a hand-shake deal (a man of his word follows through)? If your configuration is easily sellable and the answer to the first two questions is "no", I say go for the new one. Otherwise, your word is your bond and have patience like so many others.I ordered my Jeep in The middle of December and it’s in D status meaning the paperwork is sitting on someone’s desk and it will be put together for the next run the dealer told me. Another dealer contacted me today and asked if I was still looking for a JLUR and I told them I ordered one and he sent me a window sticker with exactly everything I ordered even the color and giving me a $2,000 discount off the MSRP and it’s in transit meaning it will be there within the next two weeks (he thinks). The dealer I ordered from did not require a deposit and I have the bug to go with the other dealer. Any thoughts?
For those of you that may not know, when you custom order a Jeep the sticker says “Built Especiallly for (your name)”. I think it’s a pretty cool detail to wait for.I ordered my Jeep in The middle of December and it’s in D status meaning the paperwork is sitting on someone’s desk and it will be put together for the next run the dealer told me. No the dealer is 2 hours away and when I went there they never called me back to order I had to follow up with them two times to get the order in.Do you have a good relationship with the first dealer that you want to maintain? That’s pretty cool. I have the bug but maybe I should wait that’s why I’m asking. For those of you that may not know, when you custom order a Jeep the sticker says “Built Especiallly for (your name)”. I think it’s a pretty cool detail to wait for.
Well what are you waiting for?!? One dealer finds a Jeep they know you want vs one that isn’t even trying to sell you a vehicle which is the whole point of being a salesperson...No the dealer is 2 hours away and when I went there they never called me back to order I had to follow up with them two times to get the order in.
Why in the world would you pay your dealer for powder coating? Do some research. I'm sure there are quality shops in your area that will charge much less for higher quality work.Did the dealer give u a quote on the powder coating? Thinking of doing the same actually
I was just trying to find out how much do dealers charge so I could knock 40% off and have an idea about shops prices. I never go to dealers for stuff like that only for schedule maintenance while warranty is valid. Why in the world would you pay your dealer for powder coating? Do some research. $500--and it's not the dealer doing it. They will be having another shop in town do the work once the Jeep arrives.Did the dealer give u a quote on the powder coating? Thinking of doing the same actually
