Welp, I failed to order an exhaust hanger removal tool thinking that some store in town MUST have such a tool? Nope! It's a damn Unicorn :asshat:

It's like a fork on one side and a push bar on the other, all wrapped up in a neat pliers looking package. I don't want to damage the rubber hanger as I need it, so now I need to order the stupid tool.

We just greased the hell outta the rod and then Mark was able to work the rubber hanger off the old muffler. We did the same with the new to slide it on the new hanger. It was not easy, but it can be done without some stupid tool.

So, FCA, and by extension, Jay/JLWF, posted the repair procedure for the track bar weld issue.

Pretty detailed, but the gist is:

If your vehicle frame was assembled in a certain date range (they discuss the identifying mark in the bulletin)
-The tech takes a picture of the track bar welds, both inboard and outboard.
-The pics are emailed to FCA for review
-FCA determines whether or not the weld needs repair. If it does, they send out a welder to do the repair.

:movember: What follows here is pure conjecture! :movember:
Since 18,000 JLs are affected, I imagine there is going to be a backlog to get through. Best to get in early and get your name on the list for when the welder is in town to run through a batch of repairs. Otherwise, you might have to wait until he/she rotates around again, which could take who knows how long.

Probably a recipe that is just too simple for your expertise level. :)
My beef stew recipe is very simple actually. Cut veggies, put in pot. Dredge beef, brown, put in pot. Boil sausage, brown, put in pot. Brown <CK's favorite root vegetable> in the meat drippings, put in pot. Add 8oz "sauce" cans to pot. Crock until done.

Easy as pie. :like:
