Depending where you are at, the closest Rubicon to the twin cities area is going to Corwin in Fargo N.D.

Edit, just saw you are in Duluth, still the closest one.
Could you look up for me where and when the first Sport S is going to be arriving in my area? I'm from Woodbridge, NJ. I would really appreciate it.

I would want it, but Jeeps have good enough heat that you could live without it, if you had to, especially if it had cloth seats. I've lived 10 years without it in my JK and it hasn't bothered me. You can always add an aftermarket block heater, if needed, too. Granted I'm not in Fargo, but I've been in VERY cold conditions with it. I've got other vehicles with seat heat and I'd still choose my JK over them for the coldest conditions. That said, it really is shocking they didn't equip it that way.
I've been beating myself up over what to choose. Start with an S and go modding? Get a Sahara and have the Wrangler equivalent of my 300 Limited? Or just go full 4x4 and get a vehicle more than capable to drive my 10 mile work home loop, and still go trail crawling from the factory since I will likely never touch a serious modification. I'm going Rubi, but I want that cold weather group, its not nice in the winter here in Duluth ;)

Any of you guys that head out to a lot to check out a JL near you, can you please grab a few pictures up under the front and back specifically the angles looking at how the bumpers mount to the frame. I dont have a JL near me or I would! Trying to determine if the bumper mounts are same as a JK (or only require minor modification to fit.

Would really like to mount my XRC Gen 2 w/tire carrier to the back of the JL...instead of giving it to my wife so she can overkill her 31s :cwl:

I refuse to pay $600+ for a tailgate reinforcement from MOPAR that does not even add strength to the most important part of the whole thing....the hinges.

EDIT: doesnt matter if its a sport/Sahara/Rubi its all the same

We heard from a vendor on here that they're definitely not the same. Not sure beyond that, but I'd look through the threads regarding the JL that Ace had access to.

This is why I either need to custom order, or find a dealer stocked Rubi with cold weather group.

Wow, yep. No arguing with that! Heck, it gets colder than that up there fairly regularly, right?

It sure can be. Has been this year in fact. With a good battery and regular fuel, the 3.6 has't let me down yet. I can also say that coming from a Charger with the ancient 3.5, the Pentstar is a miracle..

That's one of a bunch of reasons I went with the 3.6. Good to know!

My goodness what a beautiful place Colorado is though.
I have a sister who lives in Rochester. I'll tell you what I tell her...I have two words for you: U Haul!...lol She loves it up there, so to each their own. I grew up in S. Tex and spent a ton of years in Fl, so it would kill me...freeze me to death! Even the weather here in S. NM at 4200 ft. of elevation gets to me...lol

Yeah, it may look mostly like the same box, but the JL is a different animal.
