Oh, there's no competition between the two. Shake Shack is another echelon of burger. White Castle is more like McDonald's quality.

I'm very neutral on Wataburger... I've eaten there and it was so so... And Five Guys is good, but just order the small fries regardless of how many you want. You're going to get 5-7 potatoes worth anyway, lol.

Once you learn the secret menu for In 'n' Out you're gonna eat like a king!

I thought In/n/Out was ok, whataburger was fine, but nothing special. Five Guys makes a pretty good burger...fires can be so-so depending how they cook them...I hate when they are soft. Also Five Guys is way overpriced so I don't go there much at all.
