for when you downshift a manual, revmatching makes it less "Jerky" and smooths out the shift.
Just adding that when driving very fast it is totally necessary to not upset the balance of the vehicle, or chirp your rear tires...both of which are bad things when driving near the limit going into a turn.

From experience, if you are accelerating hard, it will hold the RPMs up for you between shifts...most noticeable at the 1->2 and 2->3 shifts from my experience.

I hear that behavior is called "rev hang", Miss Trina ;)
I think it's just the heavy flywheel...nice for torque though. My M3 was modded and the rpms really matched the gas pedal well :)

That’s awesome! I take it that you have been converted? :cwl:
I'll even sign his praises for a newbie manual driver, he did absolutely awesome on the trails. Still learning and he tackled the offroad stuff like a boss!

True, why I mainly think its useful driving on the track. I'm never driving so hard that a downshift could chirp the wheels.

Blah blah blah... technical terms. Just use the clutch and accelerator properly. Right Trina. :fist bump:
