Finally installed the BlackVue cameras and Cobra CB ... glad to get those off my punch list ... they have only been sitting around for a month or so

Just finished ! Long sweaty day in NY. Stopped for lunch and a couple
If water breaks. Installed Cobra CB. Running wire, running cable, drilling for installation of Antenna, relocating hi-lift to be lower to allow garage access, installing rhino Shovel bracket JK bracket refrabricated to fit my JL wrangler! All finished. Check out the photos.

I have a feeling your SWR will be less than optimal from all the extra metal in close proximity to the antenna. The antenna might welcome trees feeling up on it though lol.

However, it only came with 5 in a pack, one for each wheel, including the spare.

Had the tints done, 20% all around including over the factory tint in the back, plus a 5% strip on the top of the windshield. Now all I need is smaller black wheels and some knobby tires!

Thanks I am happy with the lights too. At night its great just grab the door handle and they light up, I wired them to the dome lights.

Lol . True on the SWR. Have to tune the radio. Do you know if it’s easy to do if I buy the device and do it myself?

Are you able to rise the whip up any in the mount. ALLEN screw on it? If so use a Swr meter, after the initial reading on the meter, raise up up if you can. If the reflected power goes up trim a little bit off at a time. Until you have zero reflected power or the lowest number you can obtain .

Any two way radio shops near by you? No sure of the price of a meter. Maybe cheaper if a radio shop does it?

Remember you want the reflected power as low as could be that way you get a higher output power

Sorry I meant to snap a pic of the back/mounting, but I didn't remember until after the grill was back in place..

If you look closely you can see the one zip tie on the right. That's because I drilled at too much of an angle and so it came more forward. If I could do it again, they would be completely invisible, but as it is today, my wife couldn't see it, and I'm quite happy with the result.

Thanks! I'm sold. Looks great! Saw someone who zip tied theirs right around the ring and it looked not so great. I'm sure we can figure it out
