Silver Lake Sand dunes are always a great time. I rank the sunset over Lake Michigan from the Sand Dunes to be in the top four places to watch sunset east of the Mississippi River.

A few of mine from over the years. We have been going to the dunes since the late 80s.

Do you stop and get wings at the Chicken Shack?

It was so much fun. I went Thursday-Sunday, didn’t want to leave! I couldn’t believe how many people were out on the dunes

You should definitely go, it was a great experience, you’ll want to go every year after that lol. The XJ jumped, nose dove & flipped head over tail, they came out without a scratch though!

Those are great pictures! I’ve visited the dunes before but this was my first time riding them & I will definitely be back every year. We did not stop & get wings, it totally slipped my mind

I hope you walked the pedestrian portion of them too. Its a totally different feel when you're walking them, all you can see is sand in every direction.

Oh I have! It’s crazy to think that the dunes are even part of Michigan lol I live on the furthest east side of Michigan so I just love going to the west side cause its like a whole different world.
