I guess if you can handle the wait, then order it again. Or, have it fixed and if you don't like the results, then order again. Some of it depends on what the dealer is willing to do.So I went to pick up my 2018 JLU Rubicon today at the dealership that I ordered and it was damaged in transport. What’s the thoughts on repair or order a new one?
They are putting it in the body shop Monday... just don’t know what to do.. didn’t think they could order an 18 anymore
If they can't order you an 18 replacement, then get a 19. They should be able to tell you straight up what they can do.
I asked that today and he said he’s not sure they could replace that. This is my first Jeep. So I’m a little unsure as to how things can be removed
That whole windshield can be removed just like the doors. So that person is kinda full of it.
That was a question I had... since it won’t be an insurance claim.. no carfax issues

I would definitely order a new one unless they’re going to discount the vehicle due to paint work being done on it. Then I’d base my decision on the significance of the discount.
They gave me a pretty good deal on it a little below invoice..that would be great if they did discount it... not sure how much more they would take off though
They HAVE to discount it. Even if you pass on it I’m pretty sure the law requires that the dealer disclose the paintwork to any new car buyer, who would obviously insist on an additional discount. The dealer could also just sell it as used. I can remember seeing a new Porsche that had documented paintwork from transit damage. The paperwork on the defect was from Porsche Cars NA, not the dealer.
