Appreciate all the input. Decided if I purchase another it will most likely be a 2 door Bronco with no options and the 7 speed manual.
I suppose trading clutch and possible fire issues for an extra gear and synchro issues is an option

Reportedly manual transmission rattle, leaking tops, tie rods made of playdoh etc, etc. The devil you know is better than the devil you don’t know,

I'm thinking of ordering a 2 door model with the only option being a hard top. This will get me a 6 speed V6. May add LSD or something similar at a later date. Not much reason for AC where I currently live. Do all models come with AC? This will be a 4th vehicle and will only be driven about 20% of the time. Maybe off road on occasion but no hard core stuff. Been driving manuals for over 50 years so no issues there.
Anyone here go with the base model and ended up happy with their decision? I might use it as a TOAD once we get our RV in the future.
I have a zero-option 2024 2 door. Not even a hardtop. Very, very happy with decision. I don't miss any of the creature comforts and the V6/ manual combo is responsive- I prefer it over the 4cyl/auto combination.

As I’m sure it was said over the last few pages, AC and power windows/locks are standard now.

I have had mine 3 years and I love my base model manual 2 door. It’s a fun third vehicle. The only option I selected was the dual door package (half doors). It’s still got lot more than the TJ I had 15-20 years ago though.

I haven't read all of the responses but I don't believe you can any Wrangler now without A/C. As has been said, I would test drive both the manual and auto. I got the automatic despite driving for years with stick.

I have a 2 door 6MT Willy’s that is on the base side. Only options are the red paint, hard top and convenance group. I love it. There are people on here who don’t like the manual and that is fine, I like mine. Makes it a little more fun to drive.

I also flat tow my jeep behind my RV. Am very happy with my selection…and so are my dogs
Love my 2025 JL manual, bought it to flat tow and fun. What tow set up do you use and if you had it installed where? I'm thinking Blue Ox and am not sure if I want their bracket or if I should buy a rock hard bumper kit and add the Blue Ox connectors.

I use the Ready Brute system from NSA. I use the Blue Ox Baseplate. Its pretty easy to install if you take your time. Just pull off the front bumper and it goes right in. The bumper comes off with 8 bolts (i think) and some clips to remove the little plastic guard up top. The plastic guard at the bottom also comes off. You can trim the lower one and reinstall it. i just tossed mine. The Blue Ox base plate kinda tucks under the bumper so its hard to notice.

I used their diode lighting kit. its a bit of pain because you have to splice into the wiring hardness if you have the LED tail lights. It works well, just plug your RV into the cable and the brake lights, tail lights and turn signals will all work on the jeep.

I chose this tow system because of the surge brake style brake system. it works well and doesn't require any electronics. Very simple system and very reliable.

I had a 2019 Sahara i towed all over the west for years with this system with no issues. i sold it this past summer and bought my 2025 Willy's and i am using the same set up. No issues, really easy to hook-up and disconnect at the campsite. I took it on a couple of trips this past fall with no issues.

I added a picture of the front of my jeep and you can see the baseplate installed on it.
